IMG_4114

Lobsters were $6.99lb. today... We picked up two 1.5 lber's and steamed them in a large lobster pot for 10 minutes until bright red...

Once they cooled down, we cleaned them and made these....

Lobster Rolls ~

Fresh lobster meat, cut into chunks
Quality Mayonnaise
Split top New England style rolls
Butter, softened
Fresh lemon juice, optional

Directions:
Mix together lobster meat and mayonnaise (to your liking - I don't add much)

Add a squeeze of lemon juice (optional)

Butter the outside and inside of split top rolls and grill them in a pan over medium heat on all sides and inside until lightly browned.

Pile lobster meat inside your buttered, toasted roll. Eat with chips, fries, beer...etc. :) Pin It

Thanks Pam :) That's really nice of you to say. The photography has become a wonderful hobby and some picts are better than others for sure! As for the lobsters...I know we get lucky here sometimes, they can go as low as $4.99lb!

Drop-dead gorgeous.

But how do you find lobster for that price? That is just sensationsl.

Here in NJ, it goes on sale often at the local grocery stores and seafood markets. If not for the NJ beaches and affordable lobsters from time to time...not sure it would be worth living in this state!? hahaha ;)

I still haven't been able to bring myself to do the whole lobster killing business. Maybe I could make my husband do it, then just reap the rewards. I could definitely go for one of these...

This looks great! what caught my eye was the parchment wrappers you made for the rolls. How did you do this? I am looking to do something similar and would love some tips. It will be for spanish tortilla though.
