Chicken Vindaloo

IMG_6256

This next post comes to you from a recipe I found on the amazingly popular food blog...Steamy Kitchen.

Jaden Hair, the author of Steamy Kitchen asked Prerna, from Indian Simmer (another spectacular food blog) to do a guest post ...lucky for us all, Chicken Vindaloo was the recipe Prerna featured!

Completely from scratch...the only change I made was using 2, 1/8 teaspoons of cardamom in place of the actual pods...

My husband and I were blown away by this dish! We felt there was no difference between this Chicken Vindaloo and the Chicken Vindaloo we used to order from our favorite Indian Restaurant on the Upper East Side of Manhattan! Tangy, spicy, authentic, delicious!!!

Click here to see the post and view Prerna's spectacular photos and recipe.  It's blogs like Indian Simmer and Steamy Kitchen that inspire us all to become better cooks and make many food bloggers aspire to be better photographers!

I have got to try this. I've always wanted to try it at home, but feared it wouldn't be as good as restaurants. You've changed my mind! Definitely going on the to-do list...looks incredible!

Great post. The seasonings are exotic, but approachable. My husband loves Indian food, so I think with a few tweaks for kids' versions, we're in.
