As open faced hors d'oeuvres or tea sandwiches...

the fresh, crisp, spicy bite of radish...

paired with the richness and depth of an anchovy butter (simply unsalted butter at room temperature mixed with anchovy paste to taste...here it's 4 tablespoons butter to 1/4 teaspoon anchovy paste)

on top of petits toasts (or a crustless toasted bread)...

garnished with sea salt and dill...

make a wonderful menu addition to any spring or summer garden party or brunch.

Perfect for Mother's Day...these Radish and Anchovy Butter Hors D'oeures really are delicious!

I ain't much on anchovies, but I would certainly make an exception for this!

Sorry I have not commented lately, but I'm in the middle of a move from Plano, TX to Knoxville, TN. Never been so crazy in my life.

God bless.

Girl, you have to stop showing me up-- I'm still riding the wave of impressing people with baked Brie and homemade hummus! Anchovy butter?? You outdo yourself every time! I am putting your loot in the mail tomorrow! I've been using my smoked pepper all the time and it's AWESOME!

What a beautiful little sandwich. Plus I don't think I've ever seen a prettier photo of a radish than that first shot.

Oh, those could be quite dangerous. I can see myself eating them all...and then going back to the store and getting more ingredients and eating all of those!!

Super cute! I love that you used the petits toasts instead of sandwich bread. One bite appetizers are always a crowd-pleaser.

I have to say, I'm not usually the biggest radish fan but the idea of that radish bite with the anchovy butter has me really craving radishes. Only you could have that effect on me... :P

I've just found your blog since I think we read some of the same blogs. Really enjoyed reading through! I would love to make these because I'm a huge fan of all the ingredients (starting with the anchovies)- Occurs to me you might live in the DC area- we're getting ready to move nearby. Cheers! Nicole
