Peking-Style Chicken Wraps for Dinner or a Party!

IMG_2043

This recipe I found on epicurious.com for Peking-Style Chicken Wraps is unbelievably delicious!

It calls for boneless, skinless chicken thighs which work well with Asian flavors...

but we all agreed its hoisin plumb sauce would be equally amazing with any type of meat!

As written the recipe calls for just a bit of scallion...

We decided to add cilantro, radish...

and some crushed unsalted peanuts...

The recipe calls for flour tortillas but we used Boston Bibb lettuce instead....

I secured some of the wraps with a long, thin ribbon of scallion ...for perfect party food that can be enjoyed warm, cold or room temperature.

I promise you this spring and summer my family will be eating these Peking-Style Chicken Wraps at least once a week!  They're THAT GOOD!

Oh wow! So, so pretty. The colors, flavors and textures are amazing in these lettuce wraps.

On a hot day, a glass of cool wine, and a few of these wraps would make for a really good meal.

There is just something wrong about using tortillas in Asian style recipes...your substitution sounds much better.

Totally making these!! I dated someone whose mother was Chinese, and she made authentic Peking Duck for me years ago-- glad I ditched him, but man I wish I had gotten her recipe! In the meantime, this will satisfy my craving!!

Pretty dish! These would make great party apps. I like that you switched the tortillas for the lettuce...seems lighter and showcases that yummy filling better.
