Peanut Sesame Dressing ...Versatile and Delicious!

IMG_2291

It's the well balanced ingredients in this Peanut Sesame Dressing that make it a "keeper" recipe in our kitchen!

The dressing is perfect aside a tray of fresh vegetables or drizzled atop a salad...

This evening we'll be enjoying the dressing with some leftover Hoisin Chicken we cooked on a charcoal grill...

...asparagus, scallion and sliced red peppers will complete the meal.

I thought about photographing the finished dish...but make no mistake...

It's the Peanut Sesame Dressing that hands down, "Steals the Show!"

Peanut Sesame Dressing
The dressing recipe adapted (almost completely) from Asian Chicken Salad with Red Peppers and Asparagus  HERE on The Food Channel Website

Ingredients:

1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoons fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1 1/2 tablespoons black sesame seeds, toasted
1/4 cup smooth peanut butter (I used All Natural)

Add all ingredients to a medium size bowl. Whisk together well until the peanut butter gets completely mixed in and incorporated.

This is definitely a keeper, sounds like the perfect way to get anybody interested in eating vegetables. Not that that has ever been a problem for me! Thank you, I am already memorizing the ingredients.

This sounds PERfect! I had a grilled flank steak salad last night with a dressing that was less than impressive. Wish I would have read this earlier. Wanted to let you know that I tried that crusted salmon/shaved asparagus recipe on Sunday. Loved it and so did the Hub. He's commented twice this week again how much he loved it.

In my opinion, a lot of times it's the sauce that really makes a dish. And this looks like a total winner! Love these flavors...I can imagine it would work with tons of different things.

Now this is the kind of dressing I could practically drink. I'm such a peanut butter lover...especially when combined with Asian flavors. Amazing.

Yay! I've been looking for a new peanut dressing recipe since my old one failed to produce rave reviews from the BH one too many times :) Gotta keep my tech support happy!
